She is in Kids Academy Daycare and let me tell ya..she’s smart!! Getting hard to put one past her these days..here are some new pics of out little water frog..she loves the water!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Riley!

Riley turned 2 on May 30 and we celebrated it by taking her to the beach for the first time. And she loved it! Just give her a boogie board and she’d be good to go. She loved jumping in the waves, watching the kites and playing in the sand.

We also had a small family get together for cake and wow, she was messier this year than at her first birthday. And while we miss Kelsey and wish her a happy birthday as well, Riley played hard enough for both of them.

Made in India World Premiere Report

Ok, so we leave home on Thursday and stay the night at the Courtyard Marriot in Houston. They are gracious enough to allow me to leave my truck there and drive us to the airport, then come pick us up on the return flight. Saved me about 45 dollars in parking lot fees at the airport. 4am Friday morning we are up, 5am we are on the way to the airport and by 7am we are in the air nonstop to Toronto!!

We arrive and find that the cab ride to the Hotel (Sutton Place) is about $55. No sir, no way, no how. We pay $6, grab the public bus to the subway, take the subway to Bay Street and walk 6 blocks to the hotel. About 45 minutes to an hour. Not bad..

We check into the hotel and find they are offering wi-fi for $17/day. Umm..no..
Becca gives us the code to the free wi-fi..and it is (no exaggeration) 3x slower than dial up. It was horrible and had I paid for it, I would have caused an international incident..LOL

The room itself is very nice, on a corner of the building, with windows on two walls. King bed. Small bathroom. A/C barely works…

So, we need to go get our passes for the festival and run into these girls at the registration table. They recognized us when we walked in and told us that they had seen a screener for our film and Loved It!

Then it was off to see the town..or at least the part we were in. The architecture on the University of Toronto is amazing!!

Not sure what this says, but I think it is Knights Templar code for ” Made in India is the most profound and significant film of the 21st Century”…But I could be wrong…

So after dinner, Lisa and I go to Becca’s room and have a private viewing of the movie… and we loved it!!

Saturday, I go to the Hockey Hall of Fame..that’s another post, another time…

Ok, time for the world premiere!!

By the time it was over and we’re ready to start the film, it was PACKED.

The crowd reacted very well to the film, laughing at the perfect spots, because there were a few.. but as the screen faded to black, the sucker punch gut-shot appeared, causing gasps and a few tears from the audience.. But you’ll have to see it, I can’t talk about it here..

After the credits rolled and the In Memory of Kelsey Rahne Switzer rolled by, the Q and A session started. When the directors introduced Lisa and I, we received a massive ovation and after the Q and A, many stayed behind to thank us for our story and congratulate us on the girls..It was so sweet..

We had an AfterParty at Lobby, but we didn’t stay long, and went back to the hotel, changed, and headed to Duke Of York Pub. The bearded guys are from Austin TX and we hit it off well. They have a film title Citizen Architect. I did’t catch it in TO, but they will be in San Antonio next week!

ever since we had to find Cody a new home, Buster has been lonely and a bit unhappy..and Lisa and Riley have been itching for a new puppy..so…meet Charlie..
He’s 1.5 years old. He a Wire Haired Terrier, a bit bigger than Buster..but way more playful..

We took Riley to an indoor bounce house type playground..she wasn’t real thrilled but she got used to the slides pretty quickly..here’s a quick video..those bounce houses are tiring, let me tell ya..
